SELLERS….TIME IS RUNNING OUT!

The seasonal summer real estate market will be coming to a close in the next six weeks.  Looking at the calendar, Thanksgiving is just 92 days away.  Very few people think about real estate once we’ve entered into the holiday season.  Last minute buyers want to close before Thanksgiving, to celebrate in their new home.

The typical real estate transaction timeline is as follows:

  • 7 days to prepare for market – from the time I first meet with a client to listing on the MLS.  Time needed for staging, photography, and preparation of marketing materials.
  • 28 days on market – typical time on the market before the average seller accepts an offer
  • 35-40 days to close – the average time from contract acceptance to closing

       Total Days:  70 to 75 days

Just over two weeks remain before the beginning of the end of this year’s real estate season.   Call me today to discuss getting your home sold before the holidays.
